#R1# Stafford swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Miller thinks about the counter body kick. Stafford fails with the takedown. Stafford throws a head kick that misses #TD2# and Miller decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stafford's guard. Miller is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. #SUB# Stafford is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller tries to free his leg and advance position but Stafford is retaining full guard. Miller sitting in guard here, content to control. #T1# Miller trying to stand up but can't free himself from Stafford's guard. Miller passes Stafford's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Still in half guard, Miller seems content to control. Stafford wants to control but Miller is keeping busy.
Stafford tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg. Miller trying to mount his opponent but Stafford defends it. Miller content to control rather than advance. #T2# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Stafford on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ground and pound from Miller. Miller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. #CUT2# Jean Stafford's cut is getting worse. Miller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Stafford has hold of Miller's hands but Miller slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Miller lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Miller scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Miller is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Stafford is hurt! He's hurt bad - Miller fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Stafford from any more punishment! Congratulations to Miller! Great finish!
