King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

Daniels circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops King to the canvas! King doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Daniels keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reece Daniels!
After the fight, Reece Daniels was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Gutierrez rushes King and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! King is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Gutierrez piles on the pressure and King crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Woodley sizes up King with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Woodley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Woodley has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as King is landing a low percentage of strikes.
King is aggressively charging in as Woodley backs up avoiding any damage. Woodley tosses out a jab and King runs right into it face first! King is out cold! Woodley dropped down on all fours and is barking in King's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Darren Woodley!
In his post fight interview, Darren Woodley started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and King has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from King and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
