We've been hearing reports that William has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. William shoots in but Stickmann avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stickmann throws a leg kick that is checked#KD# and William counters with a crisp one two that drops Stickmann! William thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Stickmann to his feet! Stickmann is in big trouble!#ROC# Stickmann is rocked! Stickmann dips to his left and cracks William with an uppercut! Stickmann is still on wobbly legs! Can William finish him?#CL# William has taken the fight to the clinch.
Stickmann is trying to break the clinch but William has him pressed against the cage. William stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A frustrated look appears on Stickmann's face as he tries to break the clinch. Stickmann seems to have recovered his senses. William keeps control of Stickmann as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Stickmann drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

William has a takedown stuffed. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stickmann lands the left hand. William is looking to clinch but Stickmann is avoiding it.
#KD2# Stickmann waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract William. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped William to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Stickmann is fighting to break William's control of his arms but William is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. William keeping full guard, as Stickmann tries to pass. #SUB2# Stickmann has gone for a leg lock! William slips out almost immediately though and dives into Stickmann's guard.#REVR# And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rod Stickmann dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rod Stickmann's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# William lands a head kick. Stickmann smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Stickmann is looking to land body kicks. Stickmann throws a series of punches but William avoids them all with ease. Rod Stickmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. William is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Stickmann throws a hook to the side of William's head but William sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Stickmann fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops William to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! William looks to clinch but Stickmann throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! William taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Rod Stickmann! After winning the bout, Rod Stickmann thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

#R1# Tonissaar throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stickmann stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Tonissaar throws a leg kick which misses Stickmann's front leg but catches the back leg as Stickmann tries to avoid it. That kick from Tonissaar tenderised Stickmann's leg. Stickmann is trying to keep his angry face on. Stickmann has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.#CL2# Tonissaar has closed the distance and engaged Stickmann in a clinch.
Tonissaar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Tonissaar digs a right hand underneath Stickmann's ribcage. Stickmann let out a lung full of air as it connected. Tonissaar lands a body shot. Stickmann has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tonissaar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. #R1# Stickmann takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Stickmann stuffs the takedown attempt from William. William gets slowly back to his feet. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stickmann has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Stickmann stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stickmann wants it to stay on the feet. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from William. William throws a head kick but Stickmann moves out of range.
William is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Stickmann. William has been working on his balance at whitey's gym , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Stickmann. A head kick misses from William. Stickmann let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. William throws a head kick that misses. Stickmann is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Stickmann scores to the head and body with a nice combination! William throws a head kick but Stickmann moves out of range.

Stickmann has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#T2# The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Stickmann. Stickmann displaying some good clinch control by pressing OConnor up against the cage. Stickmann gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Stickmann blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. OConnor lands with a short shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. OConnor throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Patrick OConnor decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. #R1# Stickmann tests Fist's chin there with a solid looking shot.#KD2# Stickmann throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Fist tumbling to the canvas!#ROC2# Fist is rocked!#SUB2# Stickmann is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Oh Fist is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stickmann trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Fist manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! #REVR# Stickmann is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fist seems to have got his legs back now.#SU# Fist gets to his feet - Stickmann follows without any prompting. Fist fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stickmann looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Fist scores with a hook to the body. Stickmann takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Stickmann throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fist on the side of the head. Fist steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stickmann. Stickmann defending well as Fist loads up on a big left hand. Stickmann swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Fist thows a left - swing and a miss! Stickmann throws the left hand but Fist avoids the punch easily. A big left from Fist misses. #T1# Stickmann keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fist. Stickmann throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Fist throwing a counter right hand but Stickmann manages to avoid it. Nice uppercut lands for Stickmann. That snapped Fist's head back.

#R1# Stickmann pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Stickmann is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Abdul. Stickmann really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stickmann throws a looping overhand right but Abdul ducks down to avoid it. Abdul throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A little feinted left hand from Stickmann on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Stickmann looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Abdul moves forwards but Stickmann connects with a nice, crisp jab. Stickmann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A little jabbing left from Abdul on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Stickmann lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Stickmann's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
