#R1# A punch combination from Hummer misses. #CL# Silva clinches up against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Silva. Hummer blocks the elbow strike.
Hummer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hummer shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Felipe Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva stuffs the takedown. Felipe Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Hummer.#CL# Silva has closed the distance and engaged Hummer in a clinch.
Hummer is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Silva is defending well. Silva lands a nice elbow. Silva lands an elbow inside that Hummer shrugs off. Silva is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. A left hand lands to the body for Silva.
Hummer looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silva creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Hummer avoids the elbow strike from Silva, against the cage.
Hummer takes an elbow to the forehead. #CUT# It looks like Fred Hummer has been cut. Silva lands an elbow inside that Hummer shrugs off. #T1# Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hummer's defenses. Hummer throws a punch but it's blocked by Silva. Silva lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hummer or not. Silva lands a nice elbow. Silva lands a nice elbow. #ROC# Hummer is rocked! Clinched against the cage, Silva lands a big elbow that drops Hummer! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Hummer is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

#R1##TD# Castaneda drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Castaneda slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #SUB2# Hummer has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Castaneda is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hummer. Hummer is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Castaneda taking a breather here. Castaneda has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hummer is looking to regain half guard here but Castaneda keeps moving and retains side control. #T1# Hummer seems a little lost for a moment, as Castaneda dominates the positioning.#SUB# Castaneda is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hummer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hummer tries to bench press Castaneda off him but Castaneda keeps the position. Castaneda controlling the position. Hummer wants to control but Castaneda postures up.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Castaneda cracks Hummer with an elbow. That is naaassty. Castaneda is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Castaneda seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hummer for as long as he can get away with. Hummer trying to control but Castaneda flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Castaneda controlling well, preventing Hummer from escaping the position.
Hummer wants to control his opponent's hands but Castaneda gets his hands free. Hummer rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
#SUB# Castaneda is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
#T3# Castaneda slips a nice elbow through Hummer's hands, connecting with Hummer's forehead. Castaneda trying to control the pace. Hummer trying to hold on to Castaneda's head to control him but Castaneda postures up.

#SUB# Castaneda is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hummer defends it well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#SUB2# Hummer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Castaneda pulls his head out easily. Hummer wants to hit a switch here but Castaneda passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hummer there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Castaneda controlling his opponent. #T1# Hummer really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Castaneda takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. This is a sustained period of stalling by Castaneda. Castaneda is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hummer can do to turn this around? Castaneda continues to hold on tight. Hummer is looking to improve his position but Castaneda isn't that keen on the idea. Hummer is breathing heavily. Castaneda controlling the pace for now. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Castaneda continues to stall. Castaneda's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Hummer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hummer is looking to stand back up but Castaneda counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hummer. Castaneda performing his best blanket impression for a moment. #T1# Castaneda looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hummer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Castaneda connects with a nice short shot to Hummer's temple. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Castaneda in particular looking to stall. Hummer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.#SU# Castaneda decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. #CL2# Hummer has closed the distance and engaged Castaneda in a clinch.
#TD# Hummer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Castaneda is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hummer to the mat. Hummer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Castaneda controlling from the top position. Castaneda working some strikes from top position. Hummer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Castaneda is controlling him. #T3# Hummer being controlled here, momentarily. Hummer has momentary wrist control but Castaneda slips an elbow through the middle. Castaneda seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#T4# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.#TD2# Hummer gets a takedown into half guard.#ES# Castaneda makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Fred Hummer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!#TD# Castaneda closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hummer to the mat! Hummer manages to get full guard. Hummer being controlled here, momentarily. Castaneda works over Hummer with some ground and pound from guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Darrick Castaneda showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Castaneda, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
