Wood uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wood lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith has a takedown stuffed.
Wood throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.
Smith tries to counter with a takedown but Wood is quick to defend against it.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Wood tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A countering left hand to the body from Wood misses.
Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wood.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith goes for a double leg but Wood avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wood continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
