Immigrant lunges at Armstrong with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Armstrong's hand. Armstrong takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Armstrong takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Immigrant connects with a body shot that sends Armstrong's belly button to the back. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Immigrant finds it's way through Armstrong's defenses. Immigrant lands the left hand. #R1# Ma will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jack Ma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ma tries to clinch up but Armstrong circles away and keeps his distance. Armstrong half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Armstrong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Armstrong changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Ma darts in looking for a takedown but Armstrong gets double underhooks and turns Ma into the cage. Kevin Armstrong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Ma. Ma throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Armstrong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Armstrong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ma. Armstrong feinted with a counter takedown. Armstrong takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Ma shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Armstrong sprawls well. Thomas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Armstrong but Armstrong pushes him off and we're back to square one. Thomas with a hook. Thomas connects with a looping right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas jabbing away but nothing is landing. That was a close round but I would say that Michael Bisping will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters!
