and Atkinson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mann wants to clinch up but Atkinson keeps it at a distance.#CL# Atkinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Atkinson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Atkinson. Mann has Atkinson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. #R1# Kimura drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.#CUT2# It looks like Takeshi Kimura has been cut. Atkinson misses with a few strikes there.
Atkinson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kimura could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Atkinson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kimura darts in looking for a takedown but Atkinson gets double underhooks and turns Kimura into the cage. Kimura slips a jab and a cross from Atkinson.
Atkinson connects with a single shot there. Atkinson works over Kimura's head and body with a nice combination. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kimura. Sloppy strikes from Atkinson. Those never looked like landing. Kimura is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Atkinson. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
