#R1# Cxevas shoots for a double leg takedown but Loot sprawls well. He's pushed Cxevas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cxevas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cxevas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Loot bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cxevas's head. Cxevas tries to clinch but Loot is having none of it. Cxevas shoots in looking for a takedown but Loot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cxevas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. It seemed like Loot was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Loot misses with a straight left. Nice sprawl there from Loot as Cxevas shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alj Cxevas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cxevas tries to work over Loot's front leg with a kick but Loot checks it. Cxevas lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Loot backs up against the cage.
Cxevas tries to clinch up but Loot circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Loot misses with a hook to the body
and Cxevas counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Cxevas slips under a jab from Loot. Hyroz Loot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Loot dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Cxevas darts in looking for a takedown but Loot gets double underhooks and turns Cxevas into the cage. #CL# Cxevas clinches. #T1##BC2# Loot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cxevas moves out of range as Loot strikes.#CL# Cxevas clinches up against the cage. Cxevas is looking to take this one to the mat. Cxevas tries to circle away but Loot has him pinned against the cage. Cxevas throws an elbow that misses.
Come on Cxevas - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
#TD# Cxevas ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cxevas no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Cxevas is breathing heavily. Loot would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. #T3# Cxevas throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Cxevas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Loot won't allow Cxevas to get back to his feet. Cxevas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Cxevas wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Cxevas moves out of range of the strikes.#T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cxevas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Loot as he jumps to the side. Loot swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Cxevas walks into a left hand. Cxevas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Loot misses with a body shot.

Cxevas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Loot. Loot connects with a single shot there. Loot misses with an uppercut. Cxevas saw that one coming. Loot throws a lazy right hand but Cxevas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.#CL# Cxevas closes the distance and pushes Loot back into the cage. Cxevas working hard to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hyroz Loot dominated that round. The cut man is working on Alj Cxevas's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2# A head kick misses from Cxevas. Loot defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cxevas. Loot fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cxevas manages to avoid it. Cxevas appears to be looking for a big counter. Loot bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cxevas's head backwards. Loot swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Loot! Cxevas is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hyroz Loot! Hyroz Loot was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
