Kurosawa tries to score with a low kick but Nail moves his leg out of the way. Nail tries to counter with a clinch but Kurosawa shakes him off and moves away. Kurosawa shoots in looking for a takedown. Nail tries to sprawl out of it but Kurosawa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nail manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kurosawa with a poor takedown and Nail counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Genjo Kurosawa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nail scores with a jab to the body. Nail with a hook. Nail throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kurosawa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Nail fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kurosawa manages to avoid it. A low kick from Kurosawa is predictable there #CL2# and Nail counters by moving into the clinch. #CUT# It looks like Rodney Pickard has been cut. Kurosawa throws the kick towards the body but Pickard avoids it. Kurosawa tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Nice shot lands for Pickard. Kurosawa misses with a head kick.
It seemed like Pickard was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kurosawa throws a lazy body kick and Pickard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pickard has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Pickard tries a head kick but it misses.
Kurosawa defending well as Pickard loads up on a big left hand. Kurosawa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pickard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. #R1##TD2# Parzystopa shoots in and bounces Kurosawa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kurosawa throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Kurosawa working a defensive guard here.

My spies in Cozad MMA St Petersburg inform me that Parzystopa has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Tobias Orion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kurosawa throws a head kick that half lands.
Kurosawa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Orion attempts a counter takedown but Kurosawa avoids it well and moves away. Kurosawa avoids the body shot from Orion.
