Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Diaz's head. Diaz wants to get back to full guard. Diaz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Diaz working a defensive guard here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Collins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. That was a close round but I would say that David Collins will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2##TD# Collins drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Collins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diaz can do to turn this around?#SUB2# Diaz has a loose triangle. Kribbson Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! #R3# Sloppy strikes from Diaz. Those never looked like landing. Diaz jabs Collins right on the nose. Collins blinks but takes it well. Diaz misses with a series of wild punches.

Diaz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Collins taps out and this one is all over!

Collins is taking a breather. Ayala says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Collins looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Collins lands strikes from half guard.#ROC2# Ayala is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Greg Ayala has been cut.#SUB2# Collins is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ayala has managed to free his arm - good work. Oh Ayala is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SUB2# Collins is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ayala sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Collins lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Ayala quite badly. Ayala pulls Collins in close trying to recover. Collins postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Ayala on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Ayala doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
