#R1##TD# Masvidal looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.#ES2# Coyote manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Masvidal keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Coyote looks winded!#TD# Masvidal pulls guard effortlessly. Coyote being controlled here momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Masvidal looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Masvidal is on top in guard.
#REVR# Coyote can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Masvidal controls the pace.#T1# Masvidal passes Coyote's left leg - he's now in half guard. Masvidal takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Masvidal passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Coyote! Masvidal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T2# Masvidal has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coyote's face.

Masvidal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T3# Masvidal has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Masvidal throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Masvidal content just to control the position here. #T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Masvidal thowing shots but they're missing. Coyote blocking the ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Masvidal throws some wild stikes that Coyote manages to avoid easily.

Jorge Masvidal dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! #R2##TD# Masvidal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Coyote was covering up waiting for the punch and Masvidal finishes the takedown easily into guard. #SU# Masvidal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Coyote, up you get! #TD# Coyote tries to sprawl but Masvidal drives through with a takedown into half guard. Coyote is looking to get back to is feet but Masvidal passes into side control.
Coyote gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! #SUB# Masvidal looking for a guillotine from mount but Coyote is having none of it. #SU# Masvidal gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Coyote is breathing heavily.#T1##TD# Masvidal looking to score a takedown here. Coyote is defending well but Masvidal drives through and ends up in Coyote's guard. Masvidal postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Masvidal slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #T2# Masvidal sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Coyote's guard. Masvidal content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. #SU# Masvidal postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Coyote to stand up. #TD# Masvidal manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Coyote on his heels. He'll look to pass Coyote's guard now, I'm sure.#T3##SUB2# Coyote throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Masvidal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Masvidal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Masvidal wants to pass the guard but Coyote is keeping the position. Jorge Masvidal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#T4# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Masvidal is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Masvidal working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#TD# Masvidal feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SU# Masvidal gets to his feet. Coyote looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! #TD# Masvidal shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Masvidal was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Coyote is looking to get back to his feet here but Masvidal is keeping cool and he's managed to take Coyote's back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorge Masvidal dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! #R3##TD# Masvidal shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Coyote napping and manages to drive through into side control! Coyote managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Masvidal.
Masvidal moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Masvidal advances nicely into full mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coyote blocking the ground and pound. Coyote takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Masvidal controlling from the full mount. #SUB# Masvidal is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Coyote can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Masvidal controlling from mount. Poor strikes thrown by Masvidal there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Masvidal prevents Coyote from getting the reversal. Masvidal takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Jorge Masvidal showed his dominance in that final round. Well Masvidal has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1##CL2# Masvidal moves into the clinch. Masvidal blocks an elbow strike. Masvidal effectively controlling the action here.#BC# Joe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Masvidal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Joe as he avoids it easily. Nice takedown defense from Joe. No joy for Masvidal on that attempt. Masvidal steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Joe. Joe moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Joe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Masvidal sees it coming and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Masvidal fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Joe, pushing him back against the cage. Joe working some nice short punches in the clinch. Joe stalling the fight.
Masvidal is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Joe pulls him back up using the underhooks. Average Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Masvidal. Joe misses with a punch on the inside.

Masvidal slips a jab from Joe. Nice uppercut lands for Joe. That snapped Masvidal's head back.
Joe lands the left hand. Joe throws a jab when Masvidal was well out of range. Masvidal tries to counter by closing the distance. Joe misses with a looping left. Joe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Masvidal tries to close the distance and clinch up but Joe swats him away and circles back towards the center. Masvidal doesn't succeed with the takedown and Joe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Joe throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jorge Masvidal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Joe misses. Average Joe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#T2# Masvidal shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Joe sprawls well. Joe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Masvidal gets slowly back to his feet.#CL2# Joe gets tackled into the cage by Masvidal. Masvidal maintains the clinch. Joe dodges an elbow strike from Masvidal.
A head punch on the inside from Joe fails to land. Joe scores with an uppercut up the middle. This has been an exciting period of action! Joe lands on the inside with an uppercut. Masvidal fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Masvidal throws a knee to the head but misses.

Masvidal is still on wobbly legs! Can Joe finish him?#BC# Joe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Masvidal walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Masvidal limp body while Joe jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
