A punch combination from Styles misses. Styles takes a swing at Sydney's ribcage but misses. Sydney tries to counter with a clinch but Styles shakes him off and moves away. Styles misses with a wild combination.
Sydney walks into a stiff left hand from Styles. Styles connects with a looping right hand.
Sydney swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sydney looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Styles scores with a sloppy right hand. Sydney should have avoided that one. Styles lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sydney circles away quickly and effectively. And Sydney tries to counter it with a takedown but Styles pushes his down on his head and steps out. Styles looks to throw the jab but Sydney is out of range. #CL# Styles darts in and clinches Sydney up against the cage. A right handed body shot lands from Styles.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Styles is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Sydney manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Styles manages to get himself to full guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Volkov lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sydney is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sydney has hold of Volkov's hands but Volkov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Sydney regains full guard. Nicely done. Sydney wants to sweep but no luck. Sydney manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Volkov manages to get himself to full guard.

Sloppy strikes from Vader. Those never looked like landing. Vader throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Sydney stumbling backwards into the cage! Sydney bounces back off the cage towards Vader, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Vader lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Vader celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
