Paetmar darts in looking for a takedown but Striker gets double underhooks and turns Paetmar into the cage. Paetmar avoiding damage.
Paetmar misses with a hook to the ribs.
Paetmar stalling in the clinch.
Striker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Paetmar just stands there and leans against the cage. Paetmar is trying to drag Striker to the mat but Striker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Striker is trying to maintain a safe position but Paetmar gets an underhook and turns Striker into the cage. Paetmar blocks an uppercut.

Striker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Paetmar's guard. Paetmar wants to improve his position but Striker is controlling well.
Striker is looking to take a break and control but Paetmar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.#SUB2# Striker seems to be looking for submissions.

Furioto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Striker is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Furioto throws a strike but Striker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB##SUB# Furioto has his feet on Striker's thighs here. He's pushed Striker off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Striker screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

An attempted straight right counter from Kock misses the target. Kock takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Kock cracks Striker with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Good shot there by Kock. A jab from Kock misses. Striker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Striker throws out a loose jab but Kock uses good head movement to avoid it. Kock pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A big left from Striker misses. Kock throws a lazy head kick and Striker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Striker throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Striker throws a head kick that misses. Kock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Striker is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kock had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Striker throws a hook to the side of Kock's head but Kock sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kock misses with a head kick.

Striker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. We've been hearing reports that Kock has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Kock on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A clash of legs there as Kock blocks the low kick. Kock walks into a jab. Kock slips under a jab. A low kick from Striker misses and Kock counters with a straight right hand. Striker swings for the body but Kock moves out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Grapple has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Striker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Grapple sees it coming and avoids it easily. Striker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Grapple. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Striker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Striker looking to control.
Striker wants to get back to his feet but Ank is in a dominant position and won't allow it. #SUB2# Ank drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ank jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ank throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Striker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ank advances to half guard.
