Kadabby fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cole avoids it really well and circles away.#CL2# Cole pushes Kadabby up against the cage in a clinch. Kadabby taking a breather. #TD# Kadabby jumps guard and drags Cole to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. #SU2# Cole gets to his feet. Kadabby looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Cole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kadabby is fending him off so far but Cole persists. Nope, Kadabby circles away and we're back to standing. Kadabby is looking to counter the offense by Cole and move into the clinch. #R1# Cole tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Putins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Putins avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Putins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cole wants to counter the offense by Putins and move into the clinch position. Cole looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Cole tries to close the distance and clinch up but Putins swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cole pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Putins feinted with a counter takedown.#TD# Putins manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cole on his heels. He'll look to pass Cole's guard now, I'm sure. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Putins landing some decent shots from guard. Astanovich tries to bum rush Cole with a series of wild strikes but Cole uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Astanovich wants to clinch up but Cole keeps it at a distance. Astanovich throws a series of punches but Cole avoids them all with ease. Astanovich lunges at Cole with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cole's hand. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cole misses with a takedown attempt and Astanovich counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Astanovich presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Astanovich is trying to drag Cole to the mat but Cole just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Astanovich changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cole fights it off and pushes away nicely.
