Mac cracks Garrett with a good jab. Mac connects with a high kick. #CUT2# It looks like Craig Garrett has been cut. Mac throws a head kick that misses. Garrett looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A head kick misses from Mac. #TD# Garrett gets a double leg takedown into Mac's guard. Mac wants to get back to his feet but Garrett passes into half guard.

Mac tries to roll over but Garrett keeps him under control. Mac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garrett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Garrett missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Garrett lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. #T1# Garrett lands strikes from half guard.#SUB# Garrett looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Garrett is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Garrett fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
A nice elbow there by Garrett.#T2# Mac is bucking up trying to escape but Garrett cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Garrett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Garrett looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Garrett content just to control the position here. Garrett breaks from Mac's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Garrett postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mac looks a forlorn figure.
#ROC# Mac is rocked! Mac looks winded! Garrett lands a heavy elbow. Mac is still in real trouble! Can Garrett finish him? Garrett takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mac felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Garrett working the ground and pound effectively.

The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R2# Mac throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Garrett's waist but Garrett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mac off to one side. Mac seems to have recovered his senses. #KD# and Garrett counters with a crisp one two that drops Mac! Garrett thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mac to his feet! Mac is in big trouble!#ROC# Mac is rocked! Garrett ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Mac is still on wobbly legs! Can Garrett finish him?#TD# Garrett shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mac is trying to defend but Garrett finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Garrett seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mac seems to have recovered his senses. Mac is breathing heavily. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mac with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #SUB# Garrett is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mac is just riding it out for now. Garrett eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garrett lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Mac quite badly. Mac pulls Garrett in close trying to recover. Garrett postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Mac on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Mac doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

#R1# Saget misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Saget blocks a head kick by Mac.
Mac throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Saget lands a nice looking kick to the body. Mac takes a step back to recover. Mac throws a sloppy head kick and Saget moves out of range easily. It appears Saget was looking to counter with a kick there. Saget misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mac counters with a body kick. Mac throws a jab when Saget was well out of range. Mac checks the leg kick. Mac misses with a takedown attempt and Saget counters with a series of strikes. Mac will be more careful next time no doubt. Mac has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Saget. Mac looks winded! A head kick by Mac misses #KD# and Saget counters with a nice right hand that sends Mac toppling to the canvas! Mac scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Saget finish him?!#ROC# Mac is rocked!#CUT# It looks like Macky Mac has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saget pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Saget sets himself, and Mac steps forward looking for the clinch! Saget avoids it this time. Mac is still on wobbly legs! Can Saget finish him? A kick lands to the mid section there for Saget. Saget lands a jab to Mac's midsection. Saget definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Saget connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Saget throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mac lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.#T1# Saget throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Mac seems to have recovered his senses. Saget digs a good body shot into Mac's ribs. Saget throws a leg kick which misses Mac's front leg but catches the back leg as Mac tries to avoid it. Mac takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Saget is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Mac hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bob Saget! Bob Saget seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

#R1# Mac throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Instinct fails with an attempt to clinch.
Instinct tries to clinch but Mac moves out of range. #CL2# Mac forces Instinct back against the cage and clinches. Instinct tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mac just stands there and leans against the cage. Instinct fails to pull guard.
Mac misses with a punch to the body.
Mac is trying to break free. Instinct fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Killer Instinct. That's going to take a lot out of him. Instinct tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
#TD2# Mac is trying to trip Instinct. He has hold of a leg but Instinct is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mac persists though and gets the takedown into guard.#SUB# Instinct has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mac can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mac is looking to stand up but Instinct won't let him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Instinct is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mac would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. #T1# Mac trying to control but Instinct is working from the bottom. #SUB# Instinct is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mac defends well.#SUB# Mac got a little sloppy there for a moment and Instinct has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mac has managed to get both his arms back between Instinct's legs - danger averted. Mac postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Mac works over Instinct with some ground and pound from guard. Mac trying to stand up but can't free himself from Instinct's guard. Mac trying to control but Instinct is working from the bottom. #T2# Mac loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. #SUB# Instinct is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Instinct keeping moving, preventing Mac from controlling successfully. #SUB# Mac has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Instinct to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mac is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Instinct pulls down on the head and he's put Mac to sleep! This one is all over!
