#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Graves misses with a straight left. Haji fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A big left from Haji misses. Graves throws a lazy uppercut
and Haji counters with a nice uppercut. Haji throws out a leg kick but Graves moves out of range and Haji only half commits. We've been told by Haji's head coaches at FF Forever that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Haji clobbers Graves with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Haji throws a body shot but no joy. Haji cracks Graves with a good jab. Graves takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Sam Haji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Graves throws a body shot but no joy. Haji swings away with a leg kick that misses. Haji lands a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action! Graves fails in his attempt to clinch. It looked like Haji was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Graves ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Haji swings widly with a right hand
letting Graves counter with a right hand. Graves takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#T1# Haji slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Haji scores with a nice right hand.
#ROC#Graves is rocked! Haji circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Graves tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Haji wins by KO!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matsuda moves away from the strike by Graves . Graves leaves Matsuda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Graves jabbing away but nothing is landing. Graves lands a lovely overhand right. Nice defenses there by Matsuda. No luck for Matsuda with that takedown attempt. Graves misses with a left hand #TD# and Matsuda decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Graves 's guard. Matsuda preventing the sweep. Our spies down at at LA Vale Tudo inform us that Graves has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Matsuda tries to free his leg and advance position but Graves is retaining full guard. Matsuda controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Graves is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Matsuda trying to control the position from guard on top but Graves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Matsuda wants to pass the guard but Graves is keeping the position.#T1# Matsuda advances to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Graves tries to get to full guard but Matsuda has control of the leg. #SUB# Matsuda is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matsuda has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. #SUB# Matsuda has hold of Graves 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Graves manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Graves tries to reverse the position but Matsuda maintains control.#SUB# Matsuda is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Graves can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Graves wants to hold on but Matsuda pushes him away. Matsuda controlling his opponent. Matsuda tries to control but Graves wriggling away. #SUB# Graves has left one of his arms exposed and Matsuda doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Graves screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Jukola bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Graves misses with a body shot
#TD2# and Jukola decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Graves 's guard. Jukola with a flurry of punches that miss. Graves is trying to keep Jukola in close.
Graves is really struggling to control Jukola but he's trying to hold on to the position. Graves wants to sweep here but Jukola controlling him for the moment. Jukola is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Graves has his feet on Jukola's thighs here. He's pushed Jukola off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jukola screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

#R1# Masvidal slips under a jab. Masvidal looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Masvidal doesn't succeed with the takedown and Graves counters with a straight right hand. Masvidal throws a shot from downtown. Graves moves away and avoids it. Graves doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Jab, jab by Graves - just one landing. A jab from Masvidal misses. Graves uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Masvidal. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Graves ! But no joy. Masvidal moves away from the strike by Graves . Masvidal shoots in but Graves avoids the takedown attempt easily. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Graves has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Graves throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Clondalkin misses with a takedown and Graves counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Clondalkin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Graves counters with a left to the body. Clondalkin takes a shot right to the bread basket. Clondalkin tries to clinch but fails miserably #TD# and Graves counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Graves . Graves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Clondalkin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Graves content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Graves postures up in Clondalkin's guard and throws a big left but Clondalkin blocks it. Clondalkin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Graves . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Graves throwing strikes but missing. Graves working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Clondalkin's head. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.#T1# Clondalkin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Graves misses with an uppercut. Wad saw that one coming. Wad misses with a right hand and Graves counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Graves looks to score with a jab to the body but Wad is just out of range. We've been hearing reports that Graves has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Graves scores with a shot to the body.
Graves connects with a body shot that sends Wad's belly button to the back. Wad slips a straight right by Graves . Graves throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Graves just misses with a punch to the body.

Stiles darts in looking for a takedown but Graves gets double underhooks and turns Stiles into the cage. Graves lands with a good body shot. Good shot there by Graves . Graves tries to clinch but Stiles is having none of it. Stiles lands a nice looking body shot.
Stiles fails to land the takedown. Graves dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Stiles tries to bum rush Graves with a series of wild strikes but Graves uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Graves scores with a jab to the jaw. Stiles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Graves moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Graves pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
