#R1# One scores with a nice right hand.
Makhacevov dives in and grabs One's left leg, looking for a takedown. One pushes down on Makhacevov's head and hops out. One throwing a counter right hand but Makhacevov manages to avoid it. Makhacevov fails with the takedown and Makhacevov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Makhacevov dodges the punch combination from One.
One stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and One wants it to stay on the feet. A little feinted left hand from One on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Test One has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Islam Makhacevov. Makhacevov has his takedown stuffed and One connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#KD# One drops Makhacevov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Makhacevov looks back up at him and smiles so One waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#ROC# Makhacevov is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Makhacevov shoots and misses and One counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Makhacevov badly! One follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Makhacevov out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as One finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Test One! Test One spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
