#R1# A good leg kick by Masiwera. Courtaud missing with a left hand there. Masiwera was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Courtaud throws a right hand that Masiwera ducks under and follows up with a left that Masiwera also avoids with ease. Masiwera looks like he wants to counter punch here. Courtaud takes one on the button. Masiwera throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A quick step to the side and Courtaud tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.#TD# Courtaud shoots in and bounces Masiwera off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Courtaud stops Masiwera from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#ES2# Masiwera pushes Courtaud off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Courtaud moves out of range of the strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Courtaud throws a nice looking combination but Masiwera bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Courtaud misses with a double jab.
Courtaud checks the leg kick. Good exchange - Masiwera coming out on top. Masiwera walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Courtaud checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Masiwera buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Masiwera lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Courtaud falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Fatu Masiwera!
