Adamson fails with a takedown attempt.
Skylark tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Skylark gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Adamson counter with a right hand.
Skylark dives in and grabs Adamson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Adamson pushes down on Skylark's head and hops out.#TD#
Adamson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Adamson cracks Skylark with a big right hand but Skylark just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Skylark is looking to regain half guard here but Adamson keeps moving and retains side control.
A lull in the action here as Adamson stalls from top position.

Adamson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Adamson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Skylark has escaped the position, nice work there.

Adamson has hold of Skylark's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Skylark tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Adamson cranks the arm and Skylark screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Skylark, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
