Barao misses with a head kick.
Barao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Edwards shoots in for a takedown but Barao shows good takedown defense.
Edwards with a lazy takedown attempt
and Barao counters with a low kick, right behind Edwards 's knee.
Barao throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Edwards shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barao defends it nicely.
Barao swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Dantas Barao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corsley Edwards.
Edwards shoots in and drives through. Barao sprawls well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edwards dives in for a single leg takedown but Barao sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

A very excited looking Corsley Edwards rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Dantas Barao was interviewed post fight and said 'I luhhh you myke'.

Edwards manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Patch on his heels. He'll look to pass Patch's guard now, I'm sure.
Edwards must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Patch not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Patch looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Edwards is defending well. Patch quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Edwards has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Patch celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Edwards's coach down at Montreal Community Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Edwards's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.#BC#

After the fight, Corsley Edwards was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Beg seems to have locked his on tight now - Edwards screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Beg, as he picks up the win!
