Cerrone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Firenze sprawls well. Firenze wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cerrone gets slowly back to his feet.

Vico Firenze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Firenze drops Santino with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Santino looks back up at him and smiles so Firenze waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Firenze throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Santino.
Oh Santino is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Diaz drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Diaz seems to have locked his on tight now - Firenze screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Diaz, as he picks up the win!
