Snow closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lakis's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow throws a big right hand that misses.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Snow's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Lakis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Snow connects with a couple of short punches.
Lakis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Snow is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Snow has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lakis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Snow controls the pace.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Snow seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lakis for as long as he can get away with.#REF3#
