#R1# No luck with that takedown attempt from Merdian. #CL# Merdian closes the distance and clinches. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Rittle is trying to pull guard but Merdian has him pressed against the cage. Rittle dodges an elbow strike from Merdian.
#BC# Merdian escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Merdian lands a head kick!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Merdian throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rittle tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Merdian is in Rittle's guard. Rittle lands a good elbow from the bottom. Merdian controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #T1# Rittle has control of Merdian's left arm, preventing Merdian from doing any damage. Rittle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Merdian controls the pace. Merdian has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Merdian wants to control from the top but Rittle keeps moving. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.#CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. Rittle shoots for a double leg takedown but Merdian sprawls well. He's pushed Rittle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tony Merdian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luss Rittle. Rittle fails with an attempt to clinch.
Merdian went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Merdian shoots in looking for a takedown but Rittle manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Merdian's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.#TD# Rittle gets caught flat footed, as Merdian shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Merdian has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Merdian trying to control the position from guard on top but Rittle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Merdian is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rittle for as long as he can get away with. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. As Rittle looks to move away, Merdian throws a big counter combo but Rittle just gets out of the way. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Merdian wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rittle keeps working. #T2##SU# Merdian stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Tony Merdian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Merdian shoots in for a double leg but Rittle sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rittle feints a jab promting Merdian to slip. Rittle then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Merdian slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Merdian keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Merdian is looking to clinch. Merdian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rittle avoids it really well and circles away. Merdian moves to clinch but Rittle breaks away and Rittle counters with a nice kick to the body. #CL2# Rittle drives through and clinches with Merdian against the cage.

#TD2# Rittle shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Merdian napping and manages to drive through into side control! Merdian bucks up and tries to throw Rittle off but instead Rittle has got his back! I really don't envy Merdian right now.
Rittle has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Merdian's body.
Can Merdian hold on?! Rittle is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Rittle Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Merdian sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rittle is thwarting Merdian's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, if Rittle is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Rittle trying to control from half guard but Merdian is working away. Merdian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rittle controlling the action here.#SUB2# Rittle is trying for a kimura here. Merdian looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Rittle wins by kimura!

#R1# Merdian tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. #CL# McGraugh moves into the clinch successfully.
McGraugh makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. McGraugh lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Merdian working hard to break the clinch. Merdian fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A short uppercut from McGraugh. McGraugh throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Merdians head. Merdian looking to slow down the pace here. Merdian fails to pull the fight into his guard.
McGraugh lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. #ROC# Merdian is rocked! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McGraugh. A head punch on the inside from McGraugh fails to land. McGraugh lands a right hand. Merdian is still on wobbly legs! Can McGraugh finish him? McGraugh swings wildly with an uppercut but Merdian uses good head movement to avoid it. McGraugh has a couple of punches blocked by Merdian.

Merdian seems to have recovered his senses. McGraugh pushes Merdian back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. McGraugh creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Merdian's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Merdian drops to his knees and McGraugh pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
