#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cass closes the distance and clinches up with Hayes, looking for a takedown. Cass pushes Hayes against the cage but Hayes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We've been informed that Cass has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.#CL2# Hayes gets tackled into the cage by Cass. Cass maintains the clinch. Hayes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cass has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hayes lands a body punch in the clinch. Cass is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cass drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hayes gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jacob Cass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A shot to the liver by Hayes. Beautiful body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL# Cass moves into the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.#TD# Cass manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Grapple throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. #SUB# Cass has his foot on Grapple's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grapple works his way back into a safe position though. Grapple controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grapple is looking to work some ground and pound but Cass has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grapple postures up and lands a big shot to Cass's brow. Grapple advances to half guard. Grapple seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. #SUB2# Grapple wants to work for an arm triangle but Cass is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jammy throws a big counter combination but Cass scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Cass fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jammy misses with a few strikes there.
Cass throws a right and a left that Jammy avoids nicely. Jammy went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Timurovich pushes down on Cass's head and hops out. As Cass looks to move away, Timurovich throws a big counter combo but Cass just gets out of the way. Timurovich shoots in for a takedown but Cass shows good takedown defense. #TD# Timurovich drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cass throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. You can see the frustration on Cass's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.#T1# Cass tries to control but Timurovich manages to take his back. Vespuci defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cass. Vespuci tries for a takedown but Cass sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Vespuci doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cass cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Vespuci stuffs the takedown. Cass throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vespuci's waist but Vespuci gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cass off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Cass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cass changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vespuci tries to avoid it but Cass manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vespuci to the ground. Vespuci escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Vespuci dives in and grabs Cass's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cass pushes down on Vespuci's head and hops out. Timurovich just content to control the position. Cass struggling a bit here. Cass tries to buck Timurovich off but Timurovich is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cass wants to control but Timurovich postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Timurovich working the ground and pound. Cass trying to remain calm as Timurovich controls from the top position.#T1# Cass is trying to control Timurovich's posture but Timurovich avoids it. Timurovich just content to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cass can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Timurovich controls the pace.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Timurovich passes Cass's left leg - he's now in half guard. Timurovich tries to stand and escape but Cass is controlling the position. Timurovich looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Cass moves into full guard.

Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! #R3##CL# Timurovich gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cass is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Timurovich tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Timurovich is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cass can do to turn this around? Timurovich is working for takedown but Cass is calmly controlling the position for now. Timurovich prevents the takedown attempt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cass accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Emin Timurovich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#SUB# Timurovich is looking for a triangle but Cass pushes his legs off easily.

Cass fails with the takedown. Cass scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. #T2##CL# Timurovich clinches with his opponent.
