#R1##CL2# Coles darts in and clinches Carter up against the cage. Carter tries to stall but Coles uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
#BC2# Coles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Carter jabs Coles right on the nose. Coles blinks but takes it well. Nice uppercut there from Coles. Carter misses with a two punch combination.
#TD2# Coles scores with a takedown into Carter's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Carter looking to control.
Carter wants to sweep but no luck. #T1# Coles wants to stand but Carter has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Carter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Coles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Coles slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.#TD2# Coles scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Carter is looking to regain half guard here but Coles keeps moving and retains side control. Coles creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Carter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Coles staying calm. Carter is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Coles slows the pace down in half guard. #T2# Carter trying to control here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carter is really struggling to control Coles but he's trying to hold on to the position. Billy Coles dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! #R2# Carter throws a hook but Coles blocks it. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Coles. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.#TD2# Coles bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Coles controls the position. Coles working the ground and pound. Coles passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Carter! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Coles cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Coles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Carter preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter passes easily into side control. Nice work. Coles tries to bench press Carter off him but Carter keeps the position. #T2# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Coles gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Carter is looking to take a break and control but Coles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T3# Coles has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Coles is trying to get back to full guard. Coles is breathing heavily.#SUB# Carter seems to be working for a kimura but Coles defends the submission attempt. Coles lands a couple of sideways elbows. Coles blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carter. Carter looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Carter is looking to take a break and control but Coles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.#SUB# Carter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Coles is just riding it out for now. Carter eventually gives up the hold. Carter is trying to control the action in half guard but Coles is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Carter is working for a kimura but Coles is defending it quite comfortably.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Coles keeping hold of Carter's head, controlling as best he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Quentin Carter will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! #R3# Carter throws the left hand but Coles avoids the punch easily.#TD2# Coles shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carter's guard. Carter controls Coles momentarily but Coles frees himself. Coles looking to pass the guard. Coles won't allow Carter to sweep him here. Carter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coles manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# Carter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Coles is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carter defends well. Coles utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. #T1# Carter throws a big right hand that misses. Carter forces his way into half guard.#SUB# Carter is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Coles has managed to free his arm - good work. Coles punching from the bottom.
Carter is looking to take a break and control but Coles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Coles preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Carter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Coles knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coles does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Coles is controlling Carter's position as best he can from this difficult position. Coles tries to get to full guard but Carter has control of the leg. Coles takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Carter trying to control from half guard but Coles is working away. Carter frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. #T3# Coles is working to get back to half guard.
Coles is squirming around, avoiding Carter's attempts to control the action. Carter throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Coles because Carter loaded up on that one. Carter landing strikes from the mount and Coles is in trouble! Coles keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Carter looking to control but Coles is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. #T4# Coles avoids a series of strikes thrown by Carter.
Coles is trying desperately to improve position. Carter trying to control but Coles is having none of it. Carter throws some wild stikes that Coles manages to avoid easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Quentin Carter showed his dominance in that final round. I think Carter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
