Cruise stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cruise wants it to stay on the feet.
Cruise connects with a jab.
Cruise pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Cruise circles away from the clinch attempt.
Machado slips a jab from Cruise.
A little feinted left hand from Machado on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Machado misses with a takedown attempt
and Cruise counters with a right hand to the body.
Cruise misses with a two punch combination.
Cruise misses with the combination.
Cruise fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Machado definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Machado.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cruise pushes Machado away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Machado gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Sloppy strikes from Vader. Those never looked like landing.
Luke Vader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vader throws a nice looking combination but Machado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Machado looks for a takedown but Vader sprawls well.
Vader misses with a series of wild punches.
Vader throws a right and a left that both miss.
Vader misses with a double jab.
Vader misses with a few strikes there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Machado is defended easily by Vader.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

He turns his back on Vader, trying to create some distance but Vader rushes him, striking wildly and Machado goes down! The referee tackles Vader into the cage to end the fight! Vader is one violent man!

Machado tries to close the distance and clinch up but You swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Machado takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
You ducks under a wild hook from Machado.
You scores with a jab to the body.
Horrible takedown attempt by Machado or perhaps it was just good defense by You, which made it look bad.
You throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Machado.
You connects with a right that clearly hurt Machado. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as You proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Machado collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Better You!
After the fight, Better You was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Machado looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
As Machado tries to get set, Griggs tries to push him back and clinch up but Machado manages to avoid the attempt.
Griggs throws a nice looking combination but Machado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Machado throws a head kick that Griggs semi-blocks.

Machado closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Griggs did well to prevent Machado getting side control.
Griggs tries to kick Machado off in order to stand up. Machado Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griggs is trying to buck Machado off.
Machado is looking to take a break and control but Griggs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
