This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Michael Collins! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Gabriel Dias! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Collins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dias tries to avoid it but Collins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dias to the ground. Dias escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dias wants to counter with a clinch but Collins pushes him away. Collins stuffs the takedown attempt from Dias. Dias gets slowly back to his feet. #TD# Collins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Collins (2) vs (0) Dias Collins passes easily into side control. Nice work. Score +3 for passing guard: Collins (5) vs (0) Dias Dias tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Collins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dias struggling a bit here.#SUB# Collins has hold of Dias's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dias seems comfortable defending it but Collins has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dias is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dias is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Collins couldn't care less - he's delighted!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD# Parker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dias to score an easy takedown into full guard. Parker is trying to keep Dias in close.
Dias working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. #SUB2# Parker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dias defends well. Parker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dias. Dias has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dias trying to stand up but can't free himself from Parker's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dias preventing the sweep. Dias tries to free his leg and advance position but Parker is retaining full guard. Dias postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#T1# Parker controlling Dias's posture. Parker has a closed guard, preventing Dias from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dias in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dias postures up in Parker's guard and throws a big left but Parker blocks it. Parker trying to control the position.
Dias wants to control from the top but Parker keeps moving. Parker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB# Dias is looking to improve his position.
#T2# Parker thows a huge punch but Dias dodges it nicely.
Dias tries to get to full guard but Parker has control of the leg. Parker throws a strike but Dias avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Dias knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parker on the ground. Dias keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully. Parker forces his way into half guard. Dias wants to control but Parker is keeping busy and won't allow it. #T3# Parker is keen to just control but Dias is a slippery customer. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Parker connects with a nice short shot to Dias's temple. Parker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. #SUB2# Parker is trying for a kimura here. Dias looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Parker wins by kimura!
