Akiyama dives in and grabs Rebel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rebel pushes down on Akiyama's head and hops out.
A little feinted left hand from Rebel on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Akiyama shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rebel is trying to defend but Akiyama finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A telegraphed right hand from Rebel misses the target.
Smith feints the counter takedown.

Rebel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Smith takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rebel bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Decent striking displayed by Rebel there.
Rebel works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Smith slips under a jab from Rebel.
Rebel just misses with a punch to the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Rebel gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Smith is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
