Patrick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Patrick.
Patrick looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Alves is looking to clinch.
Alves dives in for a single leg takedown but Patrick sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Alves loads up on a big right hand but Patrick slips the punch.
Alves throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Patrick throws a right and a left that both miss.

Alves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patrick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#ES2#
Patrick sneaks out the side door and pushes Alves away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horrible takedown attempt by Patrick or perhaps it was just good defense by Jagger, which made it look bad.
Patrick shoots in for a takedown but Jagger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jagger tries to counter with a takedown but Patrick is quick to defend against it.
Jagger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Patrick jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gudlevskis walks away with a smile on his face. Patrick gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL#
Patrick has closed the distance and engaged Gudlevskis in a clinch.
Patrick comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. #CUT#
It looks like Krisis Gudlevskis has been cut.
Gudlevskis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Patrick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Patrick jumps guard but Gudlevskis stands there with Patrick around his waist. Patrick gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
