#R1# Silva tries to clinch #TD# and Murder counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth. Murder seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Murder content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Murder controls the pace. Murder throwing strikes but missing. Silva is trying to keep Murder in close.
Murder has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murder working some strikes from top position. Murder postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Silva covers up, he's hurt! Murder keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Murder and the ref steps in to end the fight! Murder can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
