Smith misses with a takedown attempt and Mantle makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mantle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Mantle defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith. Graham Mantle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cranky Smith. Smith misses with a takedown attempt and Mantle counters with a straight right hand. Mantle with a hook. Smith misses with a low kick.
A shot to the liver by Mantle. Beautiful body shot. Mantle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Smith fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mantle checks it well. Cranky Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mantle sprawls well. Mantle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet. Danny Rand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cranky Smith. Smith darts in looking for a takedown but Rand gets double underhooks and turns Smith into the cage. Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rand pinned against the cage. Rand gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Smith fails with the takedown and Rand connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#TD2# Smith fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rand to the ground.
