Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Raul Badco (ranked 6079 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kribbson Urmago (ranked 5897 p4p, 431 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Raul Badco! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Kribbson Urmago! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Badco gets in close and instigates a clinch. Badco drops down looking for an ankle pick but Urmago pulls his leg out and moves away.
Badco closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Badco has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Urmago avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Urmago fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Badco jumps guard.
Urmago slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Badco controls Urmago momentarily but Urmago frees himself. Badco looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Urmago is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Urmago wants to pass the guard but Badco is keeping the position. Urmago trying to control the position from guard on top but Badco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Urmago tries to free his leg and advance position but Badco is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Badco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Urmago can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Urmago stands and throws Badco's legs to the side, diving into side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Badco (0) vs (3) Urmago Urmago wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Badco, who protects the arm well. Urmago works to advance to full mount. Badco defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Score +2 for reaching mount: Badco (0) vs (5) Urmago Urmago looking to control but Badco is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Badco tries to hold on but Urmago pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Urmago working for a guillotine from mount but Badco is in no mood to give up. Urmago looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Urmago controlling the pace for now. Badco on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Badco tries to get out of the position. Urmago jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Badco manages to avoid the submission attempt. You can see the frustration on Badco's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Urmago tries for a kimura but Badco is defending well. Badco wants to control but Urmago postures up. Badco regains half guard. Badco is trying to control but Urmago passes into side control!

That's five minutes gone in the round. Badco tries to get back to half guard but can't. Urmago thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Badco is not content to let Urmago control the position.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Badco can't do much from the bottom here. Urmago wants to control but Badco is keeping him busy. Urmago is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Badco knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. You can see the frustration on Badco's face as Urmago controls the position.

Urmago moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Urmago is looking to take a break and control but Badco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Urmago might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Badco haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Urmago is working to tighten his grip on Badco's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Badco has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Urmago is really squeezing tight and eventually Badco passes out! Urmago breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
