Mack takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mack throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. A slow jab from Mack misses its intended target. Mack throws a sloppy head kick enabling Balogun to counter with a crisp jab. Tunde Balogun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mack misses with a body shot.

Farva is stalling in the full guard. Farva wants to pass the guard but Mack is keeping the position. Farva looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Mack preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mack can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Farva controls the pace. Farva working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Farva with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Farva postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.#T1# Farva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Mack misses with a short punch on the inside. Mack throws a knee to the head but misses.

#TD2# Fisher has Mack pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Fisher pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mack tumbling to the mat - Fisher dives into Mack's guard. Fisher throwing strikes from guard but Mack blocks nicely. #SUB# Mack is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fisher defends well.#SUB# Mack throws his legs up looking for a submission but Fisher uses it to pass to side control.

More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. A nice right hand lands inside from Williams. Williams stalls. Mack throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Williams blocks it with crossed arms. A short body shot lands from Williams as the two fighters clinch.

Williams lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. I was talking to Williams's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Williams leaning his opponent against the cage. Williams blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A right hook to the body lands for Williams.

Williams jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Mack from any more punishment! Mack complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Quinnen Williams! Quinnen Williams retains his heavyweight title! After the fight, Quinnen Williams was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |

Akinaga misses with a few strikes there.
Mack tried to counter with a leg kick but Akinaga avoided it. Mack slips a jab and a cross from Akinaga.
Mack quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Kiso Akinaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Akinaga misses. Mack takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.#KD2# A jab-cross combination lands for Akinaga and sends Mack crashing to the mat! Akinaga follows him down to the mat - Mack regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! #CUT2#It looks like Frank Mack has been cut. Akinaga wants to pass to mount but Mack is defending the position. Mack tries to roll over but Akinaga keeps him under control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.#SUB# Mack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Akinaga doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mack is tightening it up a little... Akinaga has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Akinaga reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Akinaga taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mack!

Mack fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Eriksson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Eriksson throws a poor cross that misses
and Mack finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Eriksson looks winded! Eriksson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mack. Eriksson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Mack thows a body kick. Eriksson tries to catch it but that hurt him. Mack looks to land a body kick but Eriksson moved away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Eriksson throws a jab but it's blocked by Mack. A telegraphed right hand from Eriksson misses the target. A big right from Eriksson misses. #T2# Eriksson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mack throws a quick counter head kick but Eriksson was just out of range. A solid leg kick lands there for Mack.
Mack throws a chopping leg kick but Eriksson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Eriksson has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Mack. Mack slips a jab from Eriksson. Mack bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A quick step to the side and Mack tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Mack throws out a leg kick but Eriksson moves out of range and Mack only half commits. Mack ducks under a wild hook from Eriksson. Eriksson jabs Mack right on the nose. Mack blinks but takes it well. Eriksson connects with a body shot. Eriksson swings widly with a right hand
and Mack counters with a body kick that stops Eriksson in his tracks momentarily. Eriksson misses with a jab to the body
and Eriksson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Eriksson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mack - the referee stops the clock and Eriksson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mack. Eriksson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Eriksson avoids the head kick by Mack.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mack throws a body punch but Eriksson moves out of range. Eriksson blocks a head kick by Mack.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Eriksson! But no joy. Eriksson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mack tries to counter by clinching up but Eriksson breaks away and moves out of range. Eriksson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Mack throws a nice inside leg kick. Mack uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Eriksson. Mack tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Eriksson manages to circle out of the way. Mack throws a nice head kick!
#CUT#That has opened up Donald Eriksson's cut even more. Mack turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A swing and a miss from Eriksson. As Eriksson tries to get set, Mack tries to push him back and clinch up but Eriksson manages to avoid the attempt. Some bone on bone action there as Eriksson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Mack throws a solid leg kick but Eriksson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mack. Eriksson throws a right hand that misses

Mack fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters circling - Eriksson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mack throws a counter high kick but Eriksson was just alert enough to avoid it. Mack looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Eriksson is fending him off so far but Mack persists. Nope, Eriksson circles away and we're back to standing. It seemed like Eriksson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Eriksson misses with a hook
and Mack counters with a body kick. #T2# Eriksson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mack. Mack obviously looking to wear him down.
Donald Eriksson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters circling a little - Mack finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. #KD# Mack lands a big head kick that sends Eriksson tumbling to the mat! Mack takes a step backwards and waves Eriksson back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC#Eriksson is rocked! An inside leg kick lands from Mack. Eriksson is still on wobbly legs! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Eriksson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mack - the referee stops the clock and Eriksson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mack. Eriksson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Mack chopping away at his opponent's legs.

He's obviously looking to slow Eriksson down. Mack closes the distance and clinches up with Eriksson, looking for a takedown. Mack pushes Eriksson against the cage but Eriksson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Eriksson misses with a series of wild punches.

and Mack counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Frank Mack is winning the standup battle so far. A big right from Eriksson misses. Eriksson throws an off balance right hand
and Mack counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Mack lands a head kick!

#R1##TD2# Ivanans fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mack to the ground. Ivanans is now in Mack's guard. Mack is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ivanans must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mack keeping full guard, as Ivanans tries to pass. Ivanans controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ivanans lands a couple of elbows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Mack isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ivanans stacks Mack on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ivanans! Ivanans is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. #T1# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mack is looking for a sweep. The referee asks Ivanans politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ivanans prefers to stall for the moment though. Mack looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Ivanans's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mack is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ivanans content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.#SU2# Ivanans decides to take the fight back to the feet. #TD2# Ivanans shoots in and bounces Mack off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ivanans stands and throws Mack's legs to the side, diving into side control. #T3# Ivanans scores with punches from side control. Mack is trying to control Ivanans's posture but Ivanans avoids it. Ivanans working the ground and pound. Mack prevents Ivanans from improving position. Mack manages to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mack tries to roll over but Ivanans keeps him under control. Ivanans looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Mack is trying to maintain the position but Ivanans is very close to passing his half guard. Mack wants to stand back up but Ivanans manages to pass into side control.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ivanans. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.#SUB2# Ivanans working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. That's going to take a lot out of Raitis Ivanans. Mack lands with a kick to the ribs.

Ivanans tries to lock up and control but Mack gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Mack tries to control but Ivanans wriggling away. Ivanans is trying to escape the mount.

#R1# Mack slaps away a takedown attempt from Labasil, before circling back to the center of the mat. Labasil wants to land a leg kick but Mack is out of range. Mack thinks about countering with a body kick. Labasil throws a quick inside leg kick. Labasil fails with the takedown and Mack counters with a slapping leg kick. Labasil lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.#CUT2# It looks like Frank Mack has been cut. A slapping leg kick lands for Mack.
Mack definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.#TD2# Labasil gets a double leg takedown into Mack's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Labasil's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Mack keeping moving, preventing Labasil from controlling successfully. Mack trying to keep a closed guard but Labasil is proving a slippery customer.
