Williams looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. A slow jab from Darwin misses its intended target. Williams throws a low kick, looking for Darwin's leg but Darwin calmly moves out of range. We've been hearing reports that Williams has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Williams moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Williams swings away with a leg kick that misses. Darwin now looks to counter with a shot at the body. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Williams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Williams looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#TD# Hines fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Williams sprawls well initially but Hines persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Williams tries to kick Hines off in order to stand up. Hines Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. #SUB# Hines is working to tighten his grip on Williams's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Williams has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hines is really squeezing tight and eventually Williams passes out! Hines breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL# Williams gets tackled into the cage by Anderson. Anderson maintains the clinch. Williams looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Anderson stalling the fight.
Williams drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anderson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Williams has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Anderson keeps the fight on the outside. It looked like Anderson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Williams tries to clinch up. Anderson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Williams closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.#CL# Anderson drives through and clinches with Williams against the cage.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Anderson for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson digs a right hand into Williams's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Williams's gas tank. #TD# Anderson drags the fight down to the ground.
#T1# Anderson pulls Williams in close to his closed guard and prevents Williams from doing any damage or advancing position. Anderson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR##SUB# Williams is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Anderson has latched onto it... Big trouble! Anderson pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Williams is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Anderson!

That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Barakka prevents Williams from improving his position. Barakka controlling the action here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Williams trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diaz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.#TD# Williams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Williams lands in his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Diaz looking for a sweep. Not yet Diaz, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams looking to pass the guard. #T1# Williams is stalling in the full guard. Williams wants to pass the guard but Diaz is keeping the position. Williams not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.#SUB# Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Diaz is trying to push Williams away but Williams has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Williams drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That was a close round but I would say that Ash Williams will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! #R2# Sloppy strikes from Williams. Those never looked like landing. Williams has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Diaz.#TD# Williams feints and as Diaz raises his hands in defense, Williams changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Williams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Williams content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Williams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#T1##SU# Williams stands up and waves to Diaz to follow him. Williams is squirming around, avoiding Diaz's attempts to control the action. You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Williams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Williams wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Williams rolls, trying to escape but Diaz keeps control of the position.

Diaz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Williams is looking to escape.
