We've been hearing reports that Eckson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A nice inside leg kick there by LaFleur. That's going to slow Eckson down. LaFleur tries to clinch but Eckson moves out of range. A punch combination from Eckson misses. LaFleur throws a combination. Eckson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. LaFleur lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fight stays on the outside here - Eckson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Eckson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Salvador can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Eckson controls the pace. This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Chester Bowen! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Mbownka Eckson! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
