Lush throws a sloppy head kick and Hayes moves out of range easily. Hayes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Lush throws a head kick but Hayes moves out of range.
Hayes scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lush doesn't seem bothered though. Hayes changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Hayes blocks a head kick by Lush .
A head kick misses from Lush . Lush doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A swing and a miss from Lush . We've been informed that Hayes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Jab by Lush . A glancing blow. Lush lands a front kick. A jab from Hayes misses. Gert Lush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lush . Hayes misses the shot to the body. Hayes scores with a nice strike. Lush is looking to land body kicks. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lush . #T2# Hayes misses with a left hand #KD# and Lush counters with a head kick that drops Hayes to the mat! Hayes scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!#ROC#Hayes is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hayes fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hayes is still on wobbly legs! Can Lush finish him? Lush circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hayes drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Lush follows Hayes to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beast. #TD# Beast fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hayes sprawls well initially but Beast persists and gets the takedown into half guard. #SUB2# Hayes looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Beast working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hayes wants to control but Beast is keeping busy and won't allow it. #SUB2# Hayes looking for submissions off his back. Beast looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hayes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hayes has hold of Beast's hands but Beast slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Beast not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hayes trying to hold on to Beast's head to control him but Beast postures up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Beast landing punches. #ROC#Hayes is rocked! Beast has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hayes's face.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Beast cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Beast loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Hayes scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Beast land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Beast stands and salutes the crowd.
