#R1# Pummel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stovall avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Stovall looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Pummel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Pummel shoots for a double leg takedown but Stovall sprawls well. He's pushed Pummel 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Stovall has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Stovall connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Stovall tries to close the distance and clinch but Pummel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stovall misses with a hook. Pummel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stovall. Stovall is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pummel with a body shot. Pummel slips a straight right by Stovall. Stovall throws a body shot but no joy. Stovall's corner calls for a 1-2. Stovall obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Stovall throws out a token jab with nothing on it. This has been an exciting period of action! Pummel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pummel there as he acknowledges the shot. Pummel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Good shot there by Stovall. Stovall connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pummel momentarily.

and Stovall counters with a right hand to the body. Stovall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dmitriyevich circles away quickly and effectively. Stovall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

#TD# and Dmitriyevich counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dmitriyevich not doing much here.
Stovall wants to control but Dmitriyevich is keeping busy and won't allow it. Stovall wants to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Dmitriyevich gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Dmitriyevich apologises and we restart here on the feet.
