Burns shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Burns throws out a leg kick but Neil moves out of range and Burns only half commits. Neil shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Burns eats them both and turns towards Neil to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#CUT#It looks like Gavin Burns has been cut. Burns takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Burns jabbing away but nothing is landing. A cross from Neil lands. Burns displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Neil. Burns chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Neil can pounce on him.

Burns keeps the fight on the outside. Neil throws a jab when Burns was well out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Neil lands a nice forearm strike. Neil is staying tight to Burns's torso, preventing him from escaping. Neil wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burns keeps working. #T2# Neil misses with the ground and pound. Burns taking punishment in the form of punches.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neil throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Burns tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Neil cranks the arm and Burns screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Burns, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Burns throws an off balance right hand

#R1# Lock has a takedown stuffed. Gavin Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burns throws a body kick, spinning off balance#TD2# and Lock counters with a nice double leg into side control. Burns won't be happy with that. #SU2# Lock decides to take the fight back to the feet. Burns misses with a wild body shot. Lock shoots in but no luck this time. Lock staying out of range there.#TD2# Lock dives in and scores a takedown into Burns's guard.#SU2# Burns is working an open guard so Lock takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burns will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lock changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Lock shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns tries to sprawl out of it but Lock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That was a close round but I would say that Gavin Burns will probably get the nod. Burns doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Lock crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Lock's bad books for that mishap!

Krylov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Burns's guard. #REVB# Krylov controls from within his opponent's guard. Krylov wants to pass the guard but Burns is keeping the position. Burns wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Krylov manages to pass to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krylov with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Burns is not content to let Krylov control the position.#T1# Krylov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Burns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. Islandish throws a lazy right hand but Burns sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A little jabbing left from Burns on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Islandish bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Burns has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Islandiano Islandish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Islandish bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Artur takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Burns pounces like a tiger and cracks Artur with a vicious hook! Artur is down but not out! Burns follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns throws a body punch but Gee moves out of range. Gee throws a big shot that misses. Burns slips a jab from Gee. Gee throws the left hand but Burns avoids the punch easily. Burns drops his hands momentarily and Gee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Gavin Burns has been cut. Burns uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gee. Gee misses with a straight left. Burns moves out of range as Gee strikes. A counter left hand to the body from Burns misses its target. Burns throws a looping overhand right but Gee ducks down to avoid it. Burns swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Gee counter with a right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gee throws a sloppy body shot
and Burns counters with a straight right hand. Burns ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gee misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. A cross from Gee lands. Gee throws a series of punches but Burns moves out of range. Gee misses the jab. Nice straight punches there by Burns. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Burns. Burns has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Burns there as he acknowledges the shot. A swing and a miss from Gee. Gee was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Burns ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gee moves away. Gee rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Gee throws a jab but it's blocked by Burns. It looked like Burns was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gee. Burns slips under a jab from Gee. Gee moves in looking to clinch but Burns pushes him off. Gee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Burns. Gee lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Burns on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Burns moves out of range as Gee strikes. Burns throws a lazy uppercut

Gee listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Gee takes one on the button. Gee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burns moves away. We've been informed that Gee has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Gee is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Burns had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Gee throws an off balance right hand

It looked like Burns wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Burns closes the distance and clinches. Gee throws a punch but it's blocked by Burns. Gee is trying to break free. Burns goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns keeps control of Gee as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Gee tries to circle away but Burns has him pinned against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Gee's face as he tries to break the clinch. Burns lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gee or not. Gee looks winded! Gee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Burns. This has been an exciting period of action! Burns softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Burns.
Burns just leaning against Gee, taking a breather. Gee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Burns has him pressed against the cage. Gee misses with a short punch on the inside. Burns lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Burns lands with a short shot to the head. Come on Burns - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Burns lands an uppercut. Still in the clinch, Burns scores with a nice short uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gee looks to clinch but Burns throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Gee taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
