As Wyrzykowski looks to move away, Wilkins throws a big counter combo but Wyrzykowski just gets out of the way.#TD# Wilkins feints and as Wyrzykowski raises his hands in defense, Wilkins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wilkins throws a strike but Wyrzykowski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wyrzykowski showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Wyrzykowski tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilkins is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wyrzykowski engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. It looks like Wyrzykowski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wyrzykowski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Guerva. Wyrzykowski lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
#TD# Guerva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wyrzykowski is trying to control the position but Guerva postures up. #SUB# Guerva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Guerva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#SUB2# Wyrzykowski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wyrzykowski is trying to keep Guerva in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wyrzykowski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Guerva manages to get himself to full guard.

Kaynux throws a series of punches but Wyrzykowski moves out of range. #CL# Kaynux gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wyrzykowski tries to pull guard but Kaynux forces him back to his feet, against the cage. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wyrzykowski has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#BC# Kaynux pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wyrzykowski moves to clinch but Kaynux breaks away and Kaynux counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Kaynux tries a head kick but it misses.
