#R1##CL# Vema closes the distance and clinches. A head punch blocked on the inside by Cuba. Cuba misses with an elbow strike.
Cuba creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Vema goes for a takedown attempt but Cuba pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Vema shoots in and drives through. Cuba sprawls well.#CL2# Cuba clinches up with Vema and pushes him back against the cage. The referee calls for Cuba to work.
Cuba lands an elbow inside. #CUT2# It looks like Fricis Vema has been cut. Vema avoids the elbow strike from Cuba, against the cage.
Vema blocks the elbow strike.
Cuba throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Vemas head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vema takes an elbow to the forehead. Vema looking to stall.
Vema working hard to break the clinch. Vema blocks an elbow strike from Cuba.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cuba takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. #T1# Vema being controlled against the cage. Cuba stalling the fight.
Cuba receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Cuba throws an elbow that misses.
Vema tries to pull guard but Cuba holds him up against the cage and eventually Vema drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fricis Vema. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vema jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cuba walks away with a smile on his face. Vema gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL2# Cuba moves into range and clinches up with Vema. Vema wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cuba has him pressed against the cage. Vema blocks an elbow strike. Vema is looking for a takedown. Cuba gets through Vema's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Vema is breathing heavily. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. A nice glancing elbow lands by Cuba. #T2# The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Cuba pressing his opponent against the cage. Cuba lands an elbow inside. Cuba gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. #CUT2# Fricis Vema's cut is getting worse. Cuba lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Vema. Cuba lands a left hand that snaps the head of Vema backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A body shot lands from Cuba.
Cuba lands an elbow just above Vema 's eye. Cuba looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Cuba displaying some good clinch control by pressing Vema up against the cage. Cuba lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. #ROC2# Vema is rocked!#CUT2# Fricis Vema's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Cuba presses Vema against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Cuba taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
#T3# Cuba is pushing Vema up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Cuba creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Vema's defenses. Oh Vema is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cuba slowing the pace effectively. Vema seems to have got his legs back now. Cuba throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Vemas head. Cuba has Vema pressed against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Horace Cuba. Cuba looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.#CL2# Cuba takes the fight into the clinch. Clinched against the cage, Cuba lands a big elbow that drops Vema! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Vema is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Horace Cuba! Horace Cuba opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.

#R1##CL# Vema drives through and clinches with Palmer against the cage.
Vema gets underhooks to prevent Palmer's takedown attempt.
#TD2# Palmer is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Vema can't fight it off and eventually Palmer manages to take the fight to the floor. Vema looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.#SUB2# Palmer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Palmer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #SUB2# Palmer drops back looking for a leg! Vema is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vema manages to kick Palmer off! Palmer jumps back into Vema's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB2# Palmer drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Palmer as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Vema screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Palmer! Nice submission victory there!

#R1##TD2# Medvedevs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vema's guard. Medvedevs lands a couple of elbows. Vema is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vema trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Medvedevs controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Medvedevs postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Medvedevs is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. It looks like Medvedevs might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vema tries to land a sweep but no joy. #T1# Medvedevs forces his way into half guard. Medvedevs trying to control the pace. Vema has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Medvedevs is working away from the top position though. Medvedevs frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Medvedevs has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vema's face.
Medvedevs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#T2##SUB2# Medvedevs throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Vema has his hands clasped together but Medvedevs breaks the hold and Vema is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Medvedevs!
