Ka tries to close the distance and clinch but Boykus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #TD2#
Boykus throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ka tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Boykus is in Ka's guard.
Boykus wants to stand but Ka is controlling his posture from full guard.
Boykus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ka swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boykus sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Boykus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.#T1#
Boykus is looking to work some ground and pound but Ka has wrist control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boykus is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Boykus sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ka's guard.

Well Boykus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
