A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gerrard.
A quick step to the side and Maguire tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gerrard fails to land the takedown.
Gerrard fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gerrard has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Maguire is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Gerrard tries to close the distance and clinch but Maguire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gerrard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maguire sprawls well. Maguire wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gerrard gets slowly back to his feet.
Joe Maguire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Gerrard.

Silvey gets to his feet but Gerrard grabs hold of a leg and swivels beautifully into a kneebar. Silvey falls to the floor but he can't defend the quick submission attempt and has to tap quickly to save his knee ligaments! Very nice work from Gerrard!

Joe feints and then cracks Gerrard's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gerrard down.
Joe throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Gerrard crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Joe Joe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Gerrard quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Babio has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gerrard celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Covid Nineteen is looking to cinch up a triangle. Gerrard throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Covid Nineteen's body to avoid the submission. Covid Nineteen has instead reached around Gerrard's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Covid Nineteen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
