Hjoervarsson throws a counter high kick but Alvarez was just alert enough to avoid it.
Hjoervarsson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alvarez tries to avoid it but Hjoervarsson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alvarez to the ground. Alvarez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Alvarez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hjoervarsson sprawling to the canvas! Alvarez cracks Watts with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

and Watts counters with a good low kick that Alvarez was not able to check.
