We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zapelini with a poor takedown enabling Hootenanny to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renan Zapelini. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zapelini fails with the takedown and Hootenanny counters with a stiff right hand. #CUT2# It looks like Renan Zapelini has been cut.#T1# Hootenanny just misses with a punch to the body.

Zapelini shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Zapelini takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Zapelini tries to clinch but fails miserably and Hootenanny counters with a lovely straight right hand! Renan Zapelini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zapelini darts in trying to clinch and Hootenanny counters with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hootenanny's coach down at Island Training Centre was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hootenanny's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Hootenanny misses with a hook. Zapelini ducked under it nicely. #T1# Zapelini has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hootenanny finds it's way round the side to connect with Zapelini's head. Hootenanny throws the left hand but Zapelini avoids the punch easily. It looked like Zapelini was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Zapelini looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zapelini takes a body punch but keeps moving. Hootenanny looks to land a right hand but Zapelini moved out of range.#CL# Zapelini moves into range and clinches up with Hootenanny. Zapelini wants a takedown but no success here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hootenanny drops Zapelini with a straight right hand, right on the button! Hootenanny follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

A very excited looking Ozkar Hootenanny made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

#R1# Zapelini fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Turner looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Zapelini closes the distance and clinches up with Turner, looking for a takedown. Zapelini pushes Turner against the cage but Turner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Zapelini shoots in but no luck this time. Junior Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renan Zapelini. Zapelini shoots in looking for a takedown. Turner tries to sprawl out of it but Zapelini keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Turner takes a swing at Zapelini's ribcage but misses. Zapelini takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Turner throws a wild body kick that Zapelini sees coming a mile off. Zapelini fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Turner avoids it really well and circles away.#T1# Zapelini moves in looking to clinch but Turner pushes him off. Turner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zapelini manages to avoid it. Zapelini tries to counter by closing the distance. Turner on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zapelini. Zapelini obviously looking to wear him down.
A looping hook to the body misses from Turner. Zapelini does a little dance to reset his feet. Zapelini takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Zapelini shoots in for a double leg but Turner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nice sprawl there from Turner as Zapelini shoots in. Zapelini shoots in looking for a takedown but Turner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zapelini's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Zapelini will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Turner misses with a body punch

Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.#T2##SUB2# Zapelini is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Turner is just riding it out for now. Zapelini eventually gives up the hold. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zapelini wants to control but Turner is keeping him busy. Turner pushes Zapelini off looking to stand but Zapelini dives back in and keeps control.
