We've been told by Switzer's head coaches at Iron Sharpens Iron that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Switzer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith throws a series of punches but Switzer avoids them all with ease.

Switzer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It looked like Switzer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

After the fight, Kyle Switzer was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Woody ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.

and Smith counters with a crisp one two that drops Woody! Smith thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Woody to his feet! Woody is in big trouble!#ROC#Woody is rocked!
Woody glances at the clock... BAM! Smith nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Woody crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Woody is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And Wellington responds with a good body kick, but Smith manages to step out the way in time.

Smith is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Wellington's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Smith is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Wellington flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Wellington is out cold! Smith holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Corneille postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Corneille has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Corneille connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smith some visible discomfort.
The referee asks Corneille politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Corneille prefers to stall for the moment though.
Corneille throws a strike aimed at the side of Smith's head but Smith avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
