Murphy looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Side ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murphy moves away. Side throws out a loose jab but Murphy uses good head movement to avoid it. Murphy throws a front kick aimed at Side's knee but Side avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Side ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murphy moves away. Murphy loses concentration momentarily and Side pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Murphy crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Side finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Shaw slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.#SUB# Shaw is trying to get an arm triangle but Side is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Side prevents Shaw from improving position. #T1# Side tries to get back to half guard but can't. Side wants to control but Shaw postures up. Shaw tries to advance to mount but can't. Shaw advances nicely into full mount. Side is trying desperately to improve position.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shaw takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

and Side counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Side uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shaw. As Shaw backs off Side throws a huge counter combo but Shaw manages to avoid it all. Side has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Shaw is landing a low percentage of strikes. Side has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shaw. Side scores with a one two! Shaw had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. #CUT2#It looks like Danny Shaw has been cut. Side stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Shaw. Shaw throws a leg kick which misses Side's front leg but catches the back leg as Side tries to avoid it. Side will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shaw appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shaw paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shaw misses the body punch and Side counters with a lovely straight right hand!#T1# Shaw tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Side is able to avoid easily. A nice side step and Side releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Shaw lands an overhand right. Side grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Shaw takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Side cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Tang Cao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Side throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Cao connects with a high kick. #CUT2#It looks like Iron Side has been cut. Cao throws a big shot that misses. Side keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cao . Side avoids the head kick by Cao .
Side looks to land a left hand but Cao moved out of range nicely. Cao jabs at Side's body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Side lands a nice looking body shot.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cao lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Side has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Side and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Side swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Side wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Cao throws a looping overhand right but Side ducks down to avoid it. Side checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.#T1# Side with a body punch. A glancing blow. Cao looks winded! Side feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cao s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Side looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Cao takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Side swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Cao is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Side. A quick step to the side and Side tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Cao drops his guard momentarily, allowing Side to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Cao ! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Side takes it!

A nice side step and Durling releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.#TD2# Durling closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Durling lands in his opponent's guard. Side trying to control the position.
Side working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Durling. Durling postures up in Side's guard and throws a big left but Side blocks it. Side is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durling is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Durling's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Durling has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T1# Durling pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Side is keeping the position for now. Durling wants to control from the top but Side keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. #CUT2#It looks like Lucas McCain has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Side throwing strikes from guard but McCain blocks nicely. Side slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. McCain tries to escape but Side is in control. #SUB2# Side looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. McCain is not content to let Side control the position. #T1# Side has knee on belly momentarily but McCain bucks him off and regains half guard. Side wants to free his trapped foot but McCain is holding on for dear life with his legs. #ES# McCain makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!#T2# Side throws a jab but it's blocked by McCain . Side throws a right and a left that McCain avoids nicely. Side looks to land a left hand but McCain moved out of range nicely. McCain misses with a right hand letting Side counter with a right hand. McCain misses with a hook
and Side counters with a nice body shot. Side catches McCain with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! McCain moves in looking to clinch but Side pushes him off. Side has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McCain is landing a low percentage of strikes. McCain throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Side! But no joy. Side throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on McCain 's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Side dives in looking to finish as McCain flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Side's strikes! Side is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! McCain 's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but McCain was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Scott sitting in guard here, content to control. #SUB# Side escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scott gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Scott wants to control from the top but Side keeps moving. #T1# Side keeping full guard, as Scott tries to pass. Side managing to control the position. Side looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Side swivels though and keeps the full guard. Side is trying to keep Scott in close.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Clay has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Lors throws a right hand that Side ducks under and follows up with a left that Side also avoids with ease. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lors throws a sloppy body shot
and Side counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Lors has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khalimov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Side thuds a left hand into Khalimov's body. We've been told by Side's head coaches at Brazilian Top Team + Ricardo Arona that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Side comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Side swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Khalimov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Khalimov misses with a jab to the body
letting Side counter with a right hand. #CUT#It looks like Murad Khalimov has been cut. Khalimov attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A little feinted left hand from Side on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Decent striking displayed by Side there. Side lands a nice looking body shot.
Murad Khalimov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khalimov throws a leg kick and Side counters with a straight right hand.#KD# Side lands a left and a right that send Khalimov crashing to the mat, dazed. Side thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC#Khalimov is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Khalimov dives in for a single leg takedown but Side sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Side was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Khalimov dives in and grabs Side's left leg, looking for a takedown. Side pushes down on Khalimov's head and hops out. A counter left hand to the body from Side misses its target. Khalimov looks winded!#T1# Khalimov misses with a lunging right hand
#KD# and Side counters with a crisp right hand that drops Khalimov! Side lets Khalimov back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Khalimov is still on wobbly legs! Can Side finish him?#CUT#That has opened up Murad Khalimov's cut even more. Khalimov misses with a left hand and Side counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Side scoring well with a low kick there.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt. Brown shoots and misses letting Side counter with a right hand. #CUT#It looks like Alex Brown has been cut. Side misses with a few strikes there.
A little jabbing left from Brown on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Side missing with a left hand there. Brown was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Side connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Side counters with a nice uppercut. Sloppy strikes from Side. Those never looked like landing. Side cracks Brown with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.#T1# Side batters Brown with a massive right followed by a huge left! Brown is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Side lands a final crushing right hand to drop Brown to the mat with a gruesome thud! Side is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

#R1# Swift misses with a takedown and Side counters with a straight right hand. Swift will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Side swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Side cracks Swift with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. No joy there for Side, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Swift darts in looking for a takedown but Side gets double underhooks and turns Swift into the cage. Side is looking to counter punch. Iron Side has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Swift.#TD2# Swift throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Side was covering up waiting for the punch and Swift finishes the takedown easily into guard. Swift won't allow Side to sweep him here. #T1# Swift is looking to work some ground and pound but Side has wrist control. Side knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Swift on the ground. Side wants to stand but Swift is controlling the position. Swift distracts Side with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Swift stands up over Side, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Side is trying to keep Swift in close.
Swift should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Side working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Swift. Swift is stalling in the full guard. Side wants to control but Swift passes easily into half guard.
#T2# Swift stalling. Swift throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Swift missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Side has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Swift is working away from the top position though. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.#T3##SUB2# Swift is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Swift passes the guard and advances to mount! Side taking shots to the head. #T4# Swift lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Swift has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Side taking shots to the head. Swift wants to control the pace but Side is squirming around nicely. Side wants to control but Swift is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Swift punching from mount but Side doing a good job of avoiding damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Swift dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2# Swift circles away from the clinch attempt.

Swift tries to close the distance and clinch up but Side swats him away and circles back towards the center. Side scores with a nice right hand.

A jab from Side misses. Grim dives in for a single leg takedown but Side sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Grim could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Side throws a jab when Grim was well out of range. Grim attempts a counter takedown but Side avoids it well and moves away. A punch combination from Side misses. Grim tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Side manages to circle out of the way. Side waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Grim. Grim is looking to counter the offense by Side and move into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Side clinches up with Grim and pushes him back against the cage.#BC2# Side breaks from the clinch.
Side jabs Grim to the body, keeping him at a distance.#T1# Side explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Grim is breathing heavily.#KD2# Side drops Grim with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Grim looks back up at him and smiles so Side waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#ROC2# Grim is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Logen Grim has been cut. Side cracks Grim with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

#R1# Side connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lends. Lends circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Lends looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Side is fending him off so far but Lends persists. Nope, Side circles away and we're back to standing. Side swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lends is defended easily by Side. Nice shot by Side. Lends lands with a nice combination. Side backs away looking to recover. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lends falls off balance throwing a combination
and Side counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#CL2# Lends tries to keep at a distance but Side has taken the fight into the clinch. Lends shoots in but Side avoids the takedown attempt easily. Price Lends seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Side getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
