Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Moe Lester (ranked 3346 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jame Cole (ranked 5590 p4p, 0 weight class). Moe Lester is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Moe Lester! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jame Cole! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Topper Green and Ben Hemmingworth.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Cole tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lester manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lester is fending him off so far but Cole persists. Nope, Lester circles away and we're back to standing. Cole will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lester is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cole. Cole fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Moe Lester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jame Cole. Lester darts in and clinches Cole up against the cage. Cole drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lester pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lester stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lester wants it to stay on the feet. Lester gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Lester has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cole after a bit of a struggle. Lester tries for a takedown but Cole manages to get underhooks.
Lester has Cole pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cole manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lester drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lester changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cole fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cole tries to keep at a distance but Lester has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole tries to pull guard but Lester forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Cole should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Lester is trying to trip Cole. He has hold of a leg but Cole is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lester persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Lester (2) vs (0) Cole Cole trying to control the position.
Lester passes Cole's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cole is trying to get back to full guard. Lester frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Score +3 for passing guard: Lester (5) vs (0) Cole
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lester controlling the position easily from mount. Lester wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Lester will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cole can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lester moves to the back position. Score +3 for taking back: Lester (8) vs (0) Cole Lester just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
You can see the frustration on Cole's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

That's four minutes gone in the round. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Cole just trying to survive but Lester is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Lester controls the position. Cole trying to control the hands but Lester won't let him. Lester biding his time, controlling Cole.
That's five minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cole is really stuck here.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Lester is not going to allow Cole to sit and survive in this position. Cole might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lester haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cole rolls, trying to escape but Lester keeps control of the position.
Cole wants to control his opponent's hands but Lester gets his hands free. What can Cole do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Lester's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Lester gets his hands free as Cole looks to control. A bit of a pause in the action here. Lester controlling the positon.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. I really don't envy Cole right now.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Cole has eaten all the pies! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Lester continues to stall.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Lester is hanging on to Cole's back as he tries to escape.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Lester controlling from the back. Lester gets his hands free as Cole looks to control. Lester trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Cole doesn't escape. More hug and hope from Lester. Cole rolls, trying to escape but Lester keeps control of the position.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Cole keeps trying to improve his position. Lester is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Lester avoiding Cole 's attempts to control his hands. Lester controls the position.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Cole trying to control but not successfully.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. I really don't envy Cole right now.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Cole wants to escape the position.
Cole is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Lester.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Lester takes the fight on points by 8 to 0. A very excited looking Moe Lester made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. |
