We've been informed that Hreidmarson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Huxley tries to clinch but Hreidmarson moves away
and Hreidmarson counters with a straight right hand.
Huxley gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Hreidmarson gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Fafnir Hreidmarson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. |

Payne shoots in and drives through. Hreidmarson sprawls well.
Hreidmarson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.#ROC2#Payne is rocked!
Payne looks up at the clock. Bad move! Hreidmarson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Payne. Hreidmarson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fafnir Hreidmarson!
In his post fight interview, Fafnir Hreidmarson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. |

Hreidmarson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Hreidmarson slips under a jab from Cristos.
Hreidmarson misses the shot to the body.
Hreidmarson scores with a nice right hand.
Hreidmarson throws the left hand but Cristos avoids the punch easily.
Nice defenses there by Cristos.
Hreidmarson just misses with a punch to the body.
Hreidmarson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A combination from Cristos does no damage.
Hreidmarson misses with an uppercut. Cristos saw that one coming.
Cristos walks into a stiff left hand from Hreidmarson.
A big left from Hreidmarson misses.
Hreidmarson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
As Hreidmarson tries to get set, Cristos tries to push him back and clinch up but Hreidmarson manages to avoid the attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fafnir Hreidmarson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cristos seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hreidmarson shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Cristos is backing up but Hreidmarson catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Cristos covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hreidmarson Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

A less than humble Fafnir Hreidmarson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities. |
