Panda has Soul pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Soul manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. #TD# Soul ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Soul no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Panda stands up over Soul, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Soul utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Panda being controlled here momentarily. Panda working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Soul avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Panda working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Panda throwing strikes from guard but Soul blocks nicely. Panda postures up in Soul's guard and throws a big left but Soul blocks it. Panda has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Prosper Training. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.#SUB2# Panda drops back looking for a leg! Soul is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Soul manages to kick Panda off! Panda jumps back into Soul's guard. Panda with a flurry of punches that miss. #SUB2# Panda is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Panda throwing strikes from guard but Soul blocks nicely. Soul on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Soul tries to get out of the position.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Panda working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Soul's head. Panda missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Panda throws a strike but Soul rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR##SUB2# Panda is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Soul has his hands clasped together but Panda extends and breaks Soul's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Panda.

Soul lands a lovely overhand right.#CUT2#It looks like Alan Streck has been cut.#KD2# Soul lands a big uppercut and Streck crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Streck looks OK. Soul waves Streck back to his feet! A combination from Soul does no damage. Streck throwing a counter right hand but Soul manages to avoid it. Soul throws a jab when Streck was well out of range. As Soul tries to get set, Streck tries to push him back and clinch up but Soul manages to avoid the attempt. This has been an exciting period of action! Soul slips a straight right by Streck. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Soul! Streck is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice cross by Puro. Panda ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puro moves away. Panda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
#CL# Puro moves into the clinch. A shot in the inside from Puro. Puro makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Puro prevents the takedown attempt.
Puro lands with a short head shot on the inside. Puro lands with a light punch inside. #CUT#It looks like King Panda has been cut. Puro working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Puro stops a takedown attempt from Panda.

Panda looks winded! Puro lands a body punch. This has been an exciting period of action! Still in the clinch, Puro scores with a nice short uppercut. Puro lands a nice uppercut. Puro throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pandas head. Puro lands a hook to the side of the head. Puro makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Puro lands a hook that snaps the head of Panda backwards. A nice right hand lands inside from Puro. Puro creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Panda's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Panda drops to his knees and Puro pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

#TD2# Puro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jo uses from the top position. Puro is pulling down on Jo's head to control his posture. Jo wants to stand but Puro is controlling his posture from full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Jo stopping the sweep attempt from Puro.#SUB2# Puro is looking for a triangle but Jo pushes his legs off easily.

Puro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bates is fending him off so far but Puro persists. Nope, Bates circles away and we're back to standing. Bates throws a big counter combination but Puro scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Bates swinging wildly here.
Bates pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Puro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bates is looking for a counter combo. Bates lands a right hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bates looks to score with a jab to the body but Puro is just out of range. Bates throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Bates in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. #T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Puro bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bates's guard. #REVB# Puro throws a strike but Bates rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR# Puro throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Puro wants to sweep here but Bates controlling him for the moment. Puro lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# Bates wants to get back to his feet but Puro is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Puro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bates's guard. #T3# Puro perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Puro sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bates defending well though. #SU2# Puro decides to stand up. Puro moves out of range of the strikes. Bates goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jon Bates is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Puro fails with the takedown. Jon Bates has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Murska Puro. Bates stuffs the takedown. Bates lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Puro circles away quickly and effectively. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bates throws a head kick that misses. Puro dives in for a single leg takedown but Bates sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Puro goes for a double leg but Bates avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bates continues to drive forward.#TD2# Puro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bates is trying to defend but Puro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bates scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Puro manages to mount him!
#T4# The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Puro controlling the pace for now. Bates is trying to escape the mount but Puro keeps good control and instead manages to take Bates's back.
#SUB2# Bates is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Bates is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
