The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Luzina.
Andrade drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Luzina defends it well.
Luzina shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Andrade as he jumps to the side.
Andrade feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Luzina is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Andrade is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Andrade is looking to work some ground and pound but Luzina has wrist control.

Luzina is looking to cinch up a triangle. Andrade throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Luzina's body to avoid the submission. Luzina has instead reached around Andrade's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Luzina arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Andrade bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Oliveira is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Oliveira has control of Andrade's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Andrade regains control of the situation pretty easily.
